The Client: ABC Auto

The Problem

ABC Auto, a national dealer group with more than 25 dealerships, aimed to eliminate their reliance on F&I spreadsheets, manual reporting, and
time-consuming monthly reconciliation efforts. They outlined the following key requirements:

  • Easy to use, with minimal customization required
  • Seamless integration with their DMS
  • Live reporting accessible to all stakeholders
  • Automated reconciliation processes
  • Access for both senior and regional management
  • Ability to export data to their master internal system

The Solution

ABC Auto selected Op2ma’s Ri-gnr8 platform to address their needs.

Here’s how Ri-gnr8 fulfilled each requirement:

DMS Integration

ABC Auto developed their own DMS connection by utilizing Ri-gnr8’s API documentation. Their proprietary “black box” system receives data from the DMS and redeploys it on demand. The flow of DMS data into the F&I system greatly improved sales performance and reporting accuracy.

Ease of Use

To prevent overburdening staff with complex software, Op2ma implemented a multi-layered training approach. Initial group sessions were conducted online, followed by recorded sessions for future reference. Additional tailored sessions were held for senior management, financial controllers, and administrative teams. Unlimited support was provided via a dedicated Client Liaison Manager to ensure seamless onboarding and continued assistance.

Live Reporting for All Stakeholders

Op2ma gathered ABC Auto’s existing F&I spreadsheets and reports, providing an overview of the dealership’s operations. Ri-gnr8 was mapped to match all necessary reporting requirements, and the platform’s customisable fields and reporting capability exceeded expectations.

Senior and Regional Management Access

ABC Auto’s senior management required extensive comparison and analysis tools, similar to those used by OEMs. Ri-gnr8’s national reporting layer was deployed to meet these needs, with the addition of a single bespoke report to complete the management reporting suite. This eliminated the need for external F&I reporting, with no further customization required.

Automated Reconciliation Process

Previously, ABC Auto’s reconciliation process was labour-intensive and handled quarterly over 2 weeks due to the complexity of multiple financiers, insurers, warranty providers, and commission structures. After training administrative staff on Ri-gnr8’s automated reconciliation
processes, reconciliations are now completed monthly with minimal manual intervention.

Data Export to Internal Systems

Op2ma collaborated with ABC Auto’s IT team to build a simple bespoke API, ensuring smooth data transfer from Ri-gnr8 to their “black box”
system, where every customer transaction is recorded.

Results:

Within the first 12 months, ABC Auto achieved the following outcomes:
